Therefore, there won't be any trading activity on Monday and Friday of next week outside of the regular five-week sessions. There will only be three classes in the shortened week, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday.

The BSE's official website, bseindia.com, has a list of stock market holidays until 2024.

Good Friday will be the final stock market holiday in March 2024, according to the list of stock market holidays 2024.

There will be two stock market holidays in April 2024; they will fall on April 11 and April 17, respectively.

Domestic stocks joined the worldwide rise on Friday of last week following the US and UK central banks' decision to hold the rate steady. Following a quiet start, the Nifty 50 index increased slightly to close at 22097, up 85 points (+0.4%). The whole market also saw a positive outcome. Auto, Pharma, and Realty were the top gainers, while all other sectors—aside from IT—saw positive results toward the conclusion. Following the US technology company Accenture's reduction of its revenue prediction for FY24, there was some selling in the IT sector. Accenture lowered its forecast for revenue growth for the entire year from 2 percent to 3 percent.

When will the commodities market open?

The MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) and NCDEX (National Commodity Exchange) will not be open for trading on Monday, the following week, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM. However, they will stay open during the nighttime shift. This indicates that Monday at 5:00 PM is when the Indian commodity market will open again. On the other hand, MCX trading will be closed for the duration of the session on Good Friday. This indicates that on Friday of next week, there won't be any trading activity in the Indian commodity market.
