NSE will launch four indices
Beginning on April 8, the NSE will launch four indexes in the cash and derivatives markets.
Nifty MidSmall Healthcare, Nifty 500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20, Nifty 500 Multicap Infrastructure 50:30:20, and Nifty Tata Group 25 per cent cap are a few of these.
Ten firms make up the Nifty Tata Group 25% Cap Index, which is based on the free float market capitalization technique. The indices have a base value of 1000 and a base date of April 1, 2005.
The goal of the Nifty500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20 Index is to monitor the performance of a subset of the Nifty 500 index's large, mid, and small cap stocks that are representative of the manufacturing theme.
The weight of the stocks is determined by the free-float market capitalization of each stock, with a fixed 50% total weight going to the large cap, 30% to the mid cap, and 20% to the small cap segments.
The Nifty500 Multicap Infrastructure 50:30:20 Index is designed to monitor the performance of a subset of the Nifty 500 index's large, mid, and small cap stocks that are representative of the infrastructure theme.

The performance of midcap and small cap stocks in the healthcare industry will be monitored by the Nifty MidSmall Healthcare index. There are up to 30 stocks in the index. Market capitalization in free float is the basis for stock weighting.
